PTSD RESILIENCE

The martial art of Aikido is the key component that makes Shodan more practical than any other training program out there. Aikido is based on de-escalation of resistance and doesn't teach punches or kicks to hurt someone else.

Aikido develops self-improvement and personal growth to discover more internal potential. Life provides daily opposing incoming energies (usually mental or emotional attacks) so Aikido teaches us how to accept this energy, blend with it and redirect it to create something positive.

Using concepts and lessons from over 30 years of experience Bill Witthar developed Shodan Solutions. He's studied and trained in elite level martial arts, fitness and athletics since 1988. He’s conducted leadership trainings, provided corporate level consultation, designed solutions for PTSD programs and coached athletes of all ages and ability levels. He is a certified instructor in the United States Aikido Federation and holds the rank of 4th degree black belt.

Shodan Solutions is based on the principles of Aikido. Aikido states that resistance, challenge and strife are not 'negatives'. They actually provide the best opportunities for creative change. Accepting and USING these influences, rather than avoiding them, opens up potential for growth that wasn't there before. By developing a strong sense of centeredness we teach how to redirect challenges and effectively use resistance.

The word Shodan means "first degree black belt" and it symbolizes a beginning. The start of an intentional commitment to ongoing improvement and refinement.
